
From Her Hive Social to Curated Utah: Our Rebranding Journey
Oct 01, 2024Her Hive Social has officially been an agency for a year now, and what a year it’s been! Over the past 12 months, we’ve learned so much about who we are, who we want to serve, and how we can serve them in the best possible way. When I first started Her Hive Social, our target audience was strictly women-owned businesses, and we offered just one service: social media management. But as we’ve grown, so have our services and our community.
We’ve hosted networking events not just for women, but for ALL business owners, and opened our Facebook group to both men and women who want to master the art of social media marketing. As our mission shifted to helping all parent entrepreneurs market their businesses, it became clear that a change was in order. We expanded our services to include networking events, workshops, a powerful marketing mastermind called the Marketing Hive, fractional CMO services, and marketing implementation (yes, including social media management!).
With all these new developments, I knew it was time to make one of the hardest decisions: a name change. After building a loyal following and making a name for ourselves in the business world, rebranding felt like a massive leap of faith. But this leap was necessary for the exponential growth and opportunities we’ve got planned for the future. And so, Her Hive Social became Curated Utah.
Why the Name "Curated Utah"?
The word *curated* means "selected, organized, and presented using professional or expert knowledge." This perfectly reflects what we do. We’re dedicated to using our expert knowledge to help you stay organized and consistent, both online and offline. A true, authentic business is carefully crafted and curated to meet the needs of your customers. So why shouldn’t your marketing strategies reflect that? At Curated Utah, we’re committed to helping you create intentional, authentic marketing strategies that feel personal and powerful, just like the businesses you’ve built.
The Rebranding: All Nerves and Excitement
I won’t lie—this rebranding journey has been both nerve-wracking and exciting. It was incredibly difficult to walk away from everything we had already built with Her Hive Social. Rebranding is no small feat! It’s a lot of work, a lot of moving pieces, and it takes a lot of time. Between managing our current clients, growing the team, and overseeing the rebrand, I’ve definitely been stretched thin. Yet, it remains one of the most fun and exciting things I've ever done.
The process has opened my eyes to so much—I’m clearer now than ever on who we want to serve, how we want to serve them, and why we are doing all of this in the first place. I feel so energized by what’s ahead, and I truly believe this rebrand will help us connect more deeply with our community and help more businesses thrive.
So What’s Next for Curated Utah?
The rebranding of Curated Utah is just the beginning. We’ve got so much more happening behind the scenes and some exciting surprises up our sleeves. One of the most exciting developments is our Marketing Hive, a space designed specifically for ambitious solopreneurs, personal brands, and small business owners who are ready to scale. This community will help you craft a marketing strategy that consistently puts you in front of your perfect-fit clients.
We’re still the same down-to-earth, authentic marketing agency you know and love—but we’ve grown. And this rebrand marks the beginning of something much bigger!
